Who we help
IEBA supports people with a connection to Ireland’s electrical industry who are facing financial hardship. Every case is looked at individually and treated in the strictest confidence.
A connection to the industry
You work, or have worked, in the electrical sector, full-time or part-time. That includes everyone from warehouse staff and checkout operators to delivery drivers, sales teams and engineers.
Partners and families
Partners, widows, widowers and immediate dependants are also eligible. Both partners can be beneficiaries if they each meet the criteria, and support can transfer to a spouse or long-term partner if a beneficiary passes away.
A financial need
You’re struggling financially. That might be after an illness, a bereavement, a job loss, or because day-to-day costs have become too much.

How it works

2. We review it in confidence
The IEBA committee looks at each enquiry individually.
3. We get back to you
A member of the committee will be in touch as soon as possible. If support is agreed, we pay the bill or cost directly.
Questions people ask
What kind of support does IEBA give?
We can help with things like household bills, funeral costs, or a one-off expense that has become difficult to manage. Rather than sending money, we pay the bill or cost directly on your behalf, so it’s taken care of. Every request is looked at individually.
Can I apply on behalf of someone else?
Yes. Many enquiries come from family members, friends or former colleagues. Just tell us who the person is and your relationship to them.
Do I need to still be working in the industry?
No. Many of the people we help have retired or left the industry.
Will anyone else find out?
No. Every enquiry is handled in the strictest confidence by the IEBA committee.
What if I’m not sure I qualify?
