The IEBA golf day in Killeen Castle on Friday 26th April took place on a bright and sunny (if somewhat chilly) day. Eighty players teed up in teams of four to compete for the annual team trophy and other great prizes. After some great golf on a top-quality course, the following winners emerged:
Overall Winners: ABB Team: Paul Mimnagh, Mick Gaughran, Eoin Hayde & Kenny Beeton
Second Place: Expert Team: Tony Murphy, Ciaran O’Reilly, David Fagan & Danny Murphy
Third Place: Schneider Team: Trevor Whyte, Graham Murray, Mark Coyne & Alan Genochi
Longest Drive: Tony Murphy
Nearest The Pin: Ken Legros
Beat The Pro: The resident professional greeted everyone on the 14th tee with the challenge of hitting it closer to the pin than he could. Fifteen players out of 80 participants beat Emmanual to win a souvenir of their day at Killeen GC. They also win special attention from the handicap secretary for next year’s event!
